Your data
Privacy
There are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking cookies. This page lists the little that is kept.
Summary
What is stored, and where
- Accounts
- None. You cannot sign up or log in, and the site does not ask who you are.
- Forms
- When you send a route suggestion or a route report, the text you type and a timestamp are stored. Nothing else. Anything you put in the text, including a name if you add one, is stored as part of it and may be published after review, so leave out what you would not want shown.
- Bot protection
- The forms are protected by Vercel BotID, which checks in the background whether a submission comes from a browser or an automated script.
- Analytics
- The site may use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you.
- Preferences
- Preferences such as your filters are kept in your browser only. They are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
- Hosting and maps
- Like any website, the hosting provider and the map tile provider receive your IP address when your browser requests pages and map tiles.
Removal
Asking for something to be removed
To have a suggestion or report of yours removed or corrected, send a note through the suggestion form. Say which route it was on and roughly when you sent it, so it can be found.
Use the same form if a photograph of yours is credited wrongly or you want it taken down. Photo sources and licences are listed on the photo credits page.
