Zillertal

Austria

The upper Zillertal beyond Mayrhofen and Ginzling is granite and gneiss country, best known for its bouldering and the sport crag Ewige Jagdgründe. Above that crag, the Wiegelwand (also spelt Wieglwand) has a handful of bolted multipitch routes of about 100 to 150 m. The car park is beside the road shortly before Gasthaus Breitlahner and the toll road to the Schlegeis reservoir; a bus runs up from Mayrhofen. The season is roughly May to October and the wall gets the morning sun.

Schwarzer Teufel
