This limestone wall rises above the Escales dam and hydro plant on the Noguera Ribagorçana, a few kilometres south of El Pont de Suert. Modern 10-pitch slab-and-wall routes start from the dam access path, and most descend by abseil plus the shared ledge-and-tunnel exit. It faces south, so aim for spring, autumn and mild winter days.
