Rätikon (Prättigau)

The Swiss side of the Rätikon is a chain of pale limestone walls, the Kirchlispitzen, Drusenfluh and Sulzfluh, rising above the alpine pastures of the Prättigau in Graubünden. The rock is extremely compact and rough, famous for steep slab climbing on friction and water runnels, and most routes are hard and some boldly bolted. Bases are Schiers and St. Antönien: a toll road from Schuders leads to the Grüscher Älpli car park below the Kirchlispitzen, and Partnun serves the Sulzfluh. The season is July to September, and the weather changes quickly.

Kamala

Typical Rätikon climbing on rough, very compact steep slabs where you trust your feet, generously bolted. The bottom two pitches are thin and technical, two grassy pitches follow, and the last four are superb.
